[ It’s such a relief when Lydia hugs her. Allison welcomes the gesture, wrapping her arms around her best friend and holding her close. Time works in a funny way between worlds, but in the time Allison has come from Lydia was just abducted by the Nogitsune. Seeing her safe and unharmed gives Allison a kind of relief that can’t be put into words.
After a long moment, she pulls away from the hug with a smile on her face. ]
I’m really glad you’re here, Lydia.
[ She’s not just saying it, either. Allison is truly glad that she has her best friend with her to experience this place with. After a second, she steps to the side and gestures for Lydia to step inside. ]
[Lydia nods, stepping in and glancing around. She keeps expecting to see the Argent home. She knows it's silly, that her own homenisnt even here, but it still feels like an automatic desire.]
I'm sorry I didn't reach out sooner. I know it must have been weird. Knowing I'm here, but not knowing who should reach out first.
It's okay. I don't think there's really a right way to do these things. It's not like they explain who else is here when they invite you.
[She pauses.]
Plus, I know Isaac spoke with you and I -- I've been the one to explain all of that to you twice before. I'm your best friend and I've always felt like it was on me to do it. To be the one to hold your hand and explain the events back home and here.
It's just... I've been here for that twice now and both times you've chosen to leave and I keep thinking it's me. That it's too much to be here for me. For everyone else.
[ ooc: I'm sorry I let this one slip. Life has been abnormally complicated. I'm going to respond, but if you'd like to drop it I'd understand. I would also understand continuing it, though. ]
Lydia... [ Allison smiles softly. She places a hand on her best friend's shoulder, not knowing if in doing so she might be overstepping. This is a weird situation that she doesn't know the rules for. ] I get it. If I had to tell you time after time that you...
[ It gets caught in her throat. Allison doesn't like thinking about any of her friends dying, especially not Lydia. Especially when just before arriving she'd thought Lydia's life was in danger. ]
If I had to tell you that you'd died even one time it would be extremely hard on me. You're stronger, but you shouldn't have to push your limits like that. It's okay to rely on someone else to deliver the bad news.
[She waits for Allison's words to come to a close, but the touch to her shoulder had brought her back to a need of just having her best friend here. Lydia moves to pull her into a hug, holding onto her tightly. She misses her every time she leaves and each time she comes back she just hopes it'll stick. Lydia doesn't go home out of fear of missing out on time with her.]
[ Allison's arms also wrap around Lydia, hugging her close. It means the world to her knowing that her best friend is safe and sound and right in front of her. She rests her chin on Lydia's shoulder. ]
I'm glad you're here, too.
[ She smiles even though Lydia can't see the expression on her face. ]

I'm sorry I didn't reach out to you first, Lydia. I feel like I probably should have.

Date: 2017-03-26 05:40 am (UTC)I've been doing alright. I've made some new acquaintances, seen the zoo... It's been pretty nice, bad news aside. I might stay here a while.
